Yay... this is my first blog. I am so excited!! It's going to be so much fun~~

So... it's a nice and cozy Sunday afternoon here in El Paso. I am sitting here trying to figure out how to make broccoli soup. For some reason I thought broccoli contains very high level of pesticide. Well, I looked it up and it says broccoli is among the group of veges & fruits with lowest level of pesticide.

It seems that with some produce it's better to buy organic. Commercial fruit wash reagents (Environne and Vitanet) are available online if you want to try to wash the pesticide off. You can also make your own wash with dilute detergent. Just rinse the vege and fruit in warm water containing dilute detergent x 5-10 sec and wash with clean water. I might try that next time.

Well, since I am doing the chart tomorrow morning for round, I am going to have to get up at 3am. That means going to bed by 9pm tonight. I need to go work out later this afternoon so I'll be able to fall asleep tonight.

BTW, for those with GERD or occasional heart burn, here's a $5 off coupon for Zantac. Walgreen sells the 8 count 150 mg Zantac (Ranitidine) package for $5 so that means FREE OTC heartburn med. I tried it and it works pretty well. There's a warning label for people who are allergic to Ranitidine or have had allergic reactions to other acid reducers.
